Wow 'Em with this Easy Breakfast Casserole Recipe

A couple of years ago, some co-workers and I decided to host a breakfast potluck.  Breakfast?  Potluck?  What to bring, what to bring.  I brought croissants.  Ooh la la.  One of my co-workers brought a breakfast casserole.  We were all a bit hesitant to try her creation because this was the chick in the office that always touted about how much she hated cooking and usually offered to bring utensils, plates and cups during most of our office potlucks.  Well, we mustered up a little courage and tasted it.  Guess what?  It was absolutely delicious.  ABSO-frickin-DELICIOUS!  So, the recipe hoarders that all of us were begged for the recipe.  This recipe has been a breakfast / brunch fave in the Three Boys and an Old Lady household ever since.  We serve it at our annual Mother's Day Brunch, church brunches, family get-togethers and it's one of my fave standby recipes for the occasional office potluck.  Doesn't require a visit to the grocery store either the six ingredient

Book Review: 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers

Disclosure:  I received a copy of  7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers  for purposes of facilitating this review.  Earlier this year, Hearst Books released 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers ! It is the latest book in the trusted anti-aging series, 7 Years Younger. The first book, 7 Years Younger, was a New York Times best seller and was backed by Dr. Oz! The second, 7 Years Younger: The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet, has been a runaway hit with readers. One blogger said, “This is not a diet, but rather a lifestyle change to teach yourself eating healthy is fun and with realistic foods.”

Thank You @Kroger for Putting My Family First

Disclosure:  I received nothing in exchange for this post.  I just couldn't resist urge to share my appreciation I visit my local Kroger stores several times a week.  I live approximately 5 miles from 3  Kroger stores and I really hate a fridge full of food.   It's a pet peeve of mine.  I stock up on staples for my pantry but I've never been big on a freezer full of stuff I plan to eat later or bins full of fruit I'll eat sometime this month.  I prefer to buy fresh fruit and produce as near to the day I plan to eat it and that's a perk of living near so many Kroger stores.  If the produce isn't the freshest at one store, I'll just go to the next.  On average, I visit my local Kroger 3-4 times a week.  I know my local butcher, the deli manager and a couple of the produce clerks and each makes sure I get the freshest items available.  These are receipts from the last few days.   Recently, I purchased some blueberries and strawberries, as well a

Firmoo Black Framed Glasses Giveaway (5 Winners)

Black framed glasses are always the classic and indispensable accessories in styling and matching.  Yes, glasses are a fashionable accessory for some of us.  Firmoo offers a ton of fashionable eyewear for those who were glasses because we have to and those who wear them because we want to.  Either way, you want to put your best face forward. This month, Firmoo is highlighting the unique charm of black framed glasses and there are so many styles to choose from.  I ordered this black / red pair and can't wait for them to arrive.  I own a few pairs of Firmoo glasses and I've even recommended Firmoo to friends who have complicated prescriptions and they too have been impressed.

Book Review: What Child Is This by Phillip Crutchfield

It's rare I get a request from someone I know asking me to review their book.  As a writer myself, I enjoy the opportunity to share my thoughts.  When author Phillip Crutchfield sent me an email asking me to review his book " What Child Is This? ", I couldn't say "no".  Phillip is a great guy and I was eager to see how someone so busy with family, church and community found time to write.

Check Out the Community® Coffee Military Match Program

Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting and Community® Coffee. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. Whenever someone asks me where I'm from, I ramble off a list of places where I grew up. You see I'm a M.B. aka Military Brat!  I grew up on various Air Force and Army bases throughout the United States and I am forever grateful for the experience and proudly support businesses that donate funds to our servicemen and women.  It's a huge sacrifice being away from family and loved ones and I am forever grateful to those who serve. Recently my nephew enlisted in the National Guard.  He makes the 4th generation of military personnel in our family.  At his recent graduation from B.A.S.I.C. training, we snapped a pic of him, his dad and his 3 year old son.  His dad has been in the Army National Guard since before my nephew's birth and continues to serve.
