Earlier this year, Hearst Books released 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers! It is the latest book in the trusted anti-aging series, 7 Years Younger. The first book, 7 Years Younger, was a New York Times best seller and was backed by Dr. Oz! The second, 7 Years Younger: The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet, has been a runaway hit with readers. One blogger said, “This is not a diet, but rather a lifestyle change to teach yourself eating healthy is fun and with realistic foods.”
7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers, by the editors of Woman’s Day magazine, is packed with 101 instant makeovers, quick and easy tricks to make you look and feel younger in an instant. With simple tricks on how to apply the right make up, which haircut compliments your bone structure, which foods help brighten your hair and skin along with advice on how to reduce stress, get fit, and sleep better, 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers helps you make over your look and your life. Every tip and trick within the pages were tested (and re-tested) on real women.
I found a ton of great tips in 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers and wanted to share one of my faves: Plumping Up Thinning Lips. As we get older, our lips lose collagen and besides plumping them with those expensive collagen treatments, there's little we can do about it. Well, there is a little something we can do. Simply keeping your lips moisturized can help us keep that full, younger lip look.
The diva in me loves lipstick and the practical me loves lip balm. I've learned to use the two together to keep my lips looking their healthiest. Check out my before and after pics below.
The before pic shows my lips with a moisturizing lip balm. I use a balm with a high SPF to help protect my lips and keep them soft. The after pic is a nude lipstick. The lipstick also contains SPF and makes my lips look full and adds just a hint of shimmer and shine. Ooh la la.
7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers suggested I consider applying an anti-aging treatment at night to keep my lips smooth and soft. 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers also suggest a really quick tip: USE RED LIPSTICK. "Recent research actually showed that a redder lip makes women look younger. Why? It creates a strong contrast against the rest of your facial features and skin tone." What a great tip and I've never met a woman who couldn't rock red lipstick.
