NIrV Under the Sea Holy Bible

I love to gift Bibles.  The Bible is full of stories of heroism, doubt, betrayal, love, hate, but above all a message of hope.  There are translations for every reading level.  One of the newest translation is the NIrV (New International Reader's Version).  This translation, like the NIV is easy to understand and even uses much of the NIV translation.  However, it simplifies biblical text even further by sectioning text into smaller sections.

ACTs, SATs, and What Incoming College Freshman REALLY Need to Know

This weekend thousands of high school students all across the U.S. will sit for the ACT exam.  Are your kids among them?  Mine are.  Los Tres Amigos have been participating in a college prep program this year which helps lessen the anxiety of taking the tests like the ACT and SAT.  The program gives kids the opportunity to engage in learning exercises which will enable them to become familiar with the exams and help increase their scores along the way. I remember taking the ACT and SAT and those feelings of nervousness.  However, today's students are masters of standardized test taking which often begins in elementary school.  One good thing about standardized tests is that is helps some students develop a comfort level which will come in handy when they have to take exams like the ACT and SAT.  We are just a couple of years away from college and Hubby and I are trying are best to equip our kids with opportunities for scholarships to help lessen their college debt.  I don'
