If you haven't tried Swagbucks before, you can get a bonus $3 for signing up during November as part of their Three for Fall promotion. Swagbucks is a rewards site where you earn points (called SB) for things you're probably doing online already, like searching, watching videos, discovering deals, and taking surveys. When you sign up through me this month, you can earn a $3 bonus! Here's how:

1. Sign up using this link

2. Earn 300 SB total before 12/1/17. You'll get a $3 (300 SB) bonus for it!

3. If you want even more bonuses, you'll get a $10 (1000 SB rebate) bonus for making your first shop purchase! That's in addition to the SB you earn for every dollar you spend.

That's it. It's super easy, and Swagbucks is for real. I use it myself, and I've earned almost 60,000 Swa…

7 Tips for a Safe Halloween

October 31 will soon be here.  Before the kids put on that costume, now is a good time to talk to your kids about Halloween safety.

There was a time when I didn't believe these tips were important until a few years when a car narrowly missed hitting a group of neighborhood kids.  Talk about a terrifying experience.

Here are 7 tips for to help trick or treaters of all ages have a safe Halloween

1.  Decorate using reflective tape.  Add a few pieces of reflective tape to your child's costume and trick or treat bags.  This makes it easier for others to see your trick or treater.  If you don't have reflective tape, consider using glow sticks or a flashlight.

2.  Set a designated time to trick or treat or a specific number of houses.

3.  No running. Make sure little ones look both ways before crossing the street.  This is a great time to practice pedestrian safety with your kids.

4.  Stay with the group.  Cross the street together as a group and trick or treat as a group.  No on…

3 Things to Remember on Your Vacation

* Disclosure:  I am proud to be a #NSNationBlogger.  I receive Nutrisystem products in exchange for my posts. *  #Nutrisystem #NutrisystemSnaps  * When's the last time you went on vacation?  I'm talking a real vacation.  You know one where you return home fully recharged but exhausted from your adventures.
A few weeks ago, Hubby and I went on a Caribbean cruise a few weeks ago.  It was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and a time for us to reconnect.  We rarely take a vacation without our kids but we really needed a break. We've been busy with back to school, his mom's 90th birthday party, changes at the office and just a busy past few months.

WE NEEDED A BREAK!
We all know we should shouldn't worry about anything while on vacation but that's easier said than done.  I worried about getting off track with my weight loss.

While on Nutrisystem I've lost over 30 lbs. eating delicious foods like Nutrisystem broccoli and cheese stuff…

Easy 3 Ingredient Halloween Sugar Cookies

My sis and I were talking and out of the blue she says "Remember when we were little and you used to make those sugar cookies?"

I can't believe she remembered.  My sis and haven't baked cookies together in years.  She laughed when I told her I still bake those cookies.

The recipe was simple: 1 stick of butter, some sugar and flour.
Sometimes we would get all fancy and mix in some of the flavored extracts my mom kept in the pantry or top the cookies with sugary sprinkles or a dusting of sugar.
Nothing compares to the smell of cookies baking in the oven and it's one of my favorite ways to spend quality time with the kids. I always enlist the aid of my three boys and little lady when I'm in the kitchen.

Funny seeing my kids whipping up stuff in the kitchen on their own, making their own snacks or following along a recipe from one of my cookbooks.
What makes this recipe so perfect is that it's only 3 ingredients and even though the first batch rarely turns out…

Bedtime for Baby Book Reviews: 100 Favorite Bible Verses for Children

My mother in law recently celebrated her 90th birthday.  Several of our family and friends from all over came to celebrate with us.  As part of her birthday celebration, some family members joined us for worship service.  Many of them grew up in the church my family and I attend and I had so much fun listening to their memories of Sunday School, church programs and speeches.
The family laughed and laughed recalling how nervous they were and how one of the older members of the church was always nearby to encourage them and help them recall words of those recitations.
As I listened to them I thought of all the speeches and recitations my kids have had at that same church and all the times I've stood nearby to help them if they forgot the words to the speeches we spent weeks learning.  Sometimes the recitations were poems but most of the time, the speeches were Bible verses.
The King James Bible has words which can be difficult to pronounce at times so I try to seek other translatio…

Dreaming of My Dream Laundry Room

I've been having the strangest dreams here as of late?  Last night I dream I had a brand new laundry room.  I admit I would love a new laundry room.  I mean I often wonder if I am the last person on earth with a basic white washer / dryer pair,

My sister and I went shopping and I was drawn to the laundry appliances.

My washer and dryer are fairly new.  3-5 years maybe but a lot has changed since.  My washer has a sensor which locks the top at the beginning of the cycle.  Great feature UNTIL you find that one rebel sock which fell by the wayside as you were loading the washer and have to cancel the wash cycle to put the one sock in.  UGH!!!

I've got my eye and wallet on a few new appliances and a desire to update my laundry room.

First things first.  I want an azure blue front loading washer and the matching dryer.  I saw this while attending a social media conference earlier this year and fell in love.
Blue is one of my favorite colors and everyone else seems to have the red or …

Hey, It's Okay

Hey it's okay

...to binge watch a subtitled telenovela on Netflix over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, and...

...to tune your car stereo to that song you wouldn't dare let your kids listen to.

...to eat the same thing over and over and over again for lunch because you really like it.  Hey, I like the Nutrisystem Chicken Chili with a dollop of fat free sour cream.

...to cry a little when your kid tells you "He got the job".  Yeah, my kid got his first job as an editorial cartoonist at his college's newspaper.  OMG, time flew by so fast.  #ProudMomMoment
...to wish you could build a time machine to go back a good 10, 15 years when your kid was younger.

...to daydream at your desk with a pile of work sitting in front of you because your fave co-worker called in sick today.

Celebrating National Pasta Day while on Nutrisystem #sponsored

Delicious homemade marinade from pot to table in less than 10 minutes.
Disclosure: I am a Proud #NSNation Blogger and I receive Nutrisystem in exchange for sharing my journey.
The recipe and the opinions expressed above are 100% mine.  When I first started my weight loss journey I thought I would have to give up my favorite food:  PASTA

I love pasta.  My family even jokes about how much pasta we eat in the Three Boys and an Old Lady pasta.  I worried about missing out on my favorite dish once I started a nutrition plan but was surprised to see how many healthy pasta dishes Nutrisystem offers. We know pasta was high in carbs and we pile on heavy sauces and the calories mount up and so do the pounds.  However, you really can enjoy pasta and STILL lose weight.

Nutrisystem offers lots of pasta choices including Ravioli Formaggio, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Creamy Beef Alfredo, Cheese Tortellini, Chicken Pasta Parmesan, and so many more choices for pasta lovers like me.
I'm so glad I do…
