Check Out My #LittleGlowUp and Enter to Win a Little the Movie Prize Pack

*Many thanks to NBC Universal for providing me with the Little the Movie Prize Pack I mention in this blog post* Have you ever looked through old pics and been amazed by how much you've changed?   Over the weekend I was Spring cleaning and came across some old family pics.  I giggled a little at the different hairstyles I've rocked over the years.  Hunty, I've rocked 'em all.  Then I saw this pic of me when I was about 12 years old.  I remember the pic.  It was the evening of my 8th grade graduation.  It was the day I won a trophy for Math.  Yes, MATH!  What can I say, *shoulder shrug* I've always loved numbers. Why My Attendance at ShiftCon Matters

Earlier today a friend and I were coming back from a meeting and noticed how the landscape of a nearby neighborhood had changed over the last 5 years.  I really don't when the lone grocery store in the area closed or the neighborhood garden disappeared but the realization of the growing food desert in the area really stunned us both. When I referred to the area as a food desert, she asked what I meant.   What's a 'food desert'?", she asked. A food desert is an area void of grocery stores, farmers markets, places where persons can purchase fresh fruits and veggies.   After driving around a bit we discovered the nearest grocery store was over 10 miles away.  That may not seem like much but to an elderly person with no car or a growing family the lack of fresh fruits and veggies often ties to increased obesity and other health related problems. We've heard the saying  You Are What YOU Eat Now think about it, if unhealthy foods are the only available
