Easy Crockpot Orange Chicken

We were getting ready for church and I posted a pic on Facebook saying "Dinner will be ready when we get home."  By the time I arrived at church I had several folks asking what I was making for dinner. Crockpot Chicken is a regular in our house.  Hubby likes it.  The kids like it and it's super simple to make.  People laugh when I tell them how easy it is to make. It's definitely one of those "Set It and Forget It" recipes and it doesn't require a lot of cleanup afterwards.  Can we say "yaaaaaay"!!! The recipe starts with a dozen drumsticks, minced garlic, San-J Orange Sauce and some honey, if you like honey.  At 2 drumsticks a person, you can easily feed a family of 6.    Place chicken in a large bowl and pour 1/2 cup of San-J Orange Sauce over the chicken. The Orange Sauce is one of our favorites but any of the San-J sauces work for this recipe Try the Teriyaki, Asian BBQ, Mongolian and Sweet and Tangy sauces and see whic

Ways to Help Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey

My heart is heavy with news of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.  Prayers to the families in the affected areas and prayers to those helping the families in the affected areas. I am happy my Texas and Louisiana families are safe and able to volunteer to help those in need. I am praying for others waiting to hear from their beloved family members. When disasters like this occur people are inclined to want to do something... something to help others. In these days of scams and mistrust, it may be difficult to find a charity you can trust.  However, there are charities and individuals committed to serving and several ways you can help. Monetary donations are ALWAYS appreciated as money can be used in so many ways. Health and beauty supplies like toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, sanitary napkins, tampons are also appreciated.  I'm anemic and unable to donate blood but for those of you who can donate blood or plasma, the American Red Cross is always in need of blo

Shopping for THEIR First Car: 5 Tips to Finding the PERFECT Car for Your Teen

This is a sponsored post I  remember my first car.  I bought it from a college student who worked with my parents. Here we are in the midst of Back to School Season - you know the season after Summer and just before Everything's Pumpkin ( which is one of my favorite seasons ).  I received a pack of 3 BIC® Gel-ocity® Quick Dry Gel Pens, an activity sheet and some coupons to share.  As soon as I opened the pack I was excited to try the pens.  I had to move quickly because I knew once the kids saw them I would never get them back. The 3-pack contained BIC® Gel-ocity® Quick Dry Gel Pens in vibrant pink, pale blue and neon green.  As I started writing our back to school shopping list I thought of all the ways these pens could come in handy.
