Bedtime for Baby: Isosceles' Day

Disclosure: Many thanks to The Cadence Group for the opportunity to review this book.
Our beloved doggy is a very busy guy.  After we leave the house for school and work, he is in charge of the house.  I guess he stays pretty busy throughout the day because when we come home he's always lounging on the loveseat as if he's put in a hard day at the office.
Even though our favorite hound dog is getting older, he is always up for posing for a pic and playing in the snow.
Isosceles' Day by Kevin J. Meehan is a whimsical picture book about a big ol' dog and his tiny friend Mole.  As we read Isoceles' Day,  I pictured our doggy with a playmate like Mole.

From being awakened by friend Mole, to a breakfast of dancing eggs, howling and grunting with Moose, time spent with Frog and Platypus, lunchtime with Lizard, playing it cool with Mouse, listening to drums with Prairie Dog, riding in a wagon with Rhino, drinking from a hose with Goose, and a lullaby with Frog, come share a fun day with Isosceles, a happy rescue dog, and his animal friends!

The kids had fun reading this book.  Isosceles' Day is an ideal read for dog lovers or those who are hoping to add a doggy to the family.

He's been in our lives for nearly 12 years now and we can't imagine life without him.  He's a part of our family but I have to admit sometimes I wonder what kinda mischief he gets in while we are away.
Isosceles' Day is available at bookstores worldwide including Amazon, Barnes and Noble and more.

I was wonder what my dog does when I am not home. She is allowed to wander around the yard and in one room in the house when you're not there. This book looks like a fun one to read with the kiddos.

I love my beagle boys to pieces. I know they get in trouble when I am gone, but that is just their personality!

Every little kid needs to grow up with a puppy. Dogs are the best to have around and have that extra protection in the house. Thank you for sharing!
We have three dogs and our kids are avid lovers. I know they would all appreciate this book any time if the day. Especially bed time.

Can you believe it's FALL already? Seems like just yesterday we were chillin' in a hammock on a beach sippin' margaritas in Cozumel.  Really, I was just chillin' in a hammock on a beach sippin' margaritas in Cozumel just a couple of weeks ago and now it's Fall and it's all about the pumpkin spice. I had to share this super easy take on the $$ pumpkin spice latte at the the  ooh la la, fancy-schmancy, trendy coffee houses.  Save your money and make it at home.  Shoot, they're cheap enough you can enjoy a few of these without bustin' your budget. Apparently there's a coin shortage.  Signs are posted in the storefront windows everywhere saying "COIN SHORTAGE - EXACT CHANGE".   The pandemic has definitely affected our pockets and we are looking for ways to maximize our income without having to tap into our savings. Learning to budget can be a daunting task but knowing where you spend your hard earned money is the first step.  There are lots of books available to help get you started.  Currently, I'm reading The 30-Minute Money Plan for Moms by Catey Hill.  Financial expert Catey Hill shows moms how to spend less and save big in this savvy guide where each step is designed to take 30 minutes max.   Let’s face it, kids are expensive–in 24 states, daycare actually costs more than in-state college tuition! And the older kids get, the more you will spend. Every mom could use more money. But who has hours to search for coupons just to save a few dollars? And sure, you know you should learn how to get the most o

Come Out & Play BUT Let's Practice Social Distancing

Come Out & Play  BUT Remember   To   Practice Social Distancing COVID-19, Coronavirus, Da Rona, whatever you're calling it has definitely changed all of our lives.  Families are spending more and more time together.  My husband teases me saying I've spent more time in the backyard since March than I have in the entire 15 years we've lived in our home.  Sad thing is... he's right. We planted a garden.  It was kinda by chance.  I bought these seeds and this starter compost.  Put them near the kitchen and after about a week or so, I started noticing gnats in my kitchen.  I figured it was some of the fresh fruit gone bad.  Tossed the fruit. Wiped everything down.  Gnats were gone.  A few days later... the gnats returned.  FINALLY figured out it that I had this dirt near the kitchen and remembered "Oh, you were going to start gardening."   Seeds planted.  Watered.  Now we wait.  It'll be a few weeks but I am so looking forward to cutting fresh spinach and
