Bedtime for Baby Book Reviews: I Can Only Imagine (Picture Book)

I Can Only Imagine is one of my favorite songs of faith.  The song holds a special place in my heart as Hubby and I had moved cross country around the time it was released.  I was going through a period of adjustment in my life and the song helped me through.
The lyrics seemed to resonate with so many others as the song topped charts for nearly 2 decades, yes 20 years.  The song has been recorded by contemporary artists, country artists and most recently by gospel award winning artist, Tamela Mann.

Few songs make the transition to the big screen but I Can Only Imagine did just that in the Spring of 2018.  Box Office Mojo said the film is the 3rd top grossing music biopic of all time earning over $80 million since it's March 2018 release.

Now the song has been made into a picture book for the kiddos. I Can Only Imagine: "A Friendship with Jesus Now and Forever."

Book Description
Encourage your children’s sense of wonder and faith with I Can Only Imagine, inspired by the hit song by MercyMe. This beautiful picture book will capture your family’s childlike faith and imagination.

I Can Only Imagine asks questions a child might ask and invites families to wonder together: What is heaven like? What does God do? What would it be like to spend a day with Jesus? Children will see that although experiencing the glory of heaven may be far off, we can enjoy a friendship with Jesus every day - right here on earth. Whimsical, playful illustrations and thought-provoking questions make this a book that families will cherish.

Fun and vibrant illustrations offer a vivid visual and will help your children see that God can be found everywhere, every day.

I think about heaven as I look up at the sky

And watch the fluffy clouds roll by.

The more I imagine, the more I wish I knew.

I wonder, would God like pancakes with extra syrup too?

And if God and I spent the day together, what exactly would we do?

The Christian worship song “I Can Only Imagine” touched countless lives with its glorious representation of being in the presence of God, and this beautifully illustrated picture book invites you and your children to imagine those same wonders. Share the joy of a personal relationship with the Lord with your family today through the creative, faith-filled book I Can Only Imagine.

I Can Only Imagine can be found wherever Thomas Nelson books are sold including Thomas Nelson Online and bookstores worldwide.

OH! The Places You'll Go! Giveaway Hop + 7 Out of the Box Uses for Erasers

Another Summer has come and gone and it's time to head Back to School!

If you're anything like me you took advantage of all those Back to School deals and stocked up on all those back to school deals and now have a surplus of school supplies which will probably end up in a junk drawer or put away someplace where you will never find it when you need it.

Take for instance those pink erasers.  I buy a pack every year and every year without fail my family gives me that look when they see that pack of lone erasers in the back to school shopping cart.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to use erasers around the house

Erase away scuffs on your kitchen floor with an eraser.

Easily remove your kid's pop-up crayon masterpiece from the walls with an eraser.

Remove stains from suede boots by gently brushing the eraser across the stain until it's gone.

Keep those tickling ivory piano keys nice and clean by erasing stains with one quick swipe.

Stubborn zippers loosen quickly by rubbing…

DIY Christmas Ornaments Ideas + Super Stocking Stuffer Giveaway Hop

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

So many childhood holiday memories and traditions we have carried on for so many generations.

This year is going to be a little different for our family.  This year we are breaking tradition.

This year our Christmas tree is going up before Thanksgiving.

We have ALWAYS decorated the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving but this year since we will be traveling during the Christmas holiday I figured we should have the tree up and have a table set up for the family to make some homemade ornaments for the tree.

I love this Hot Cocoa Mix Ornament idea from Sprinkle Some Fun.  This would be an ideal ornament idea for a large group.  So many tasty fun possibilities with this one.
We usually donate paper towel rolls to the school for projects and they usually end up as napkin rings but check out this Toilet Roll Reindeer idea from Happy Hooligans.  Absolute adorable isn't it? I have so many of these …
