Bedtime for Baby: Sesame Street: 5 Little Rubber Duckies

Disclosure: Many thanks to MMPublicity for the opportunity to review this book.
Did you see that the United States Postal Service issued a stamp in honor of Mr. Rogers?  I grew up watching his show on PBS and a host of other PBS shows including the classic, Sesame Street.

Funny isn't it that the show we and even some of our parents loved as kids is still on the air.  Those muppets we've loved for decades are still educating and entertaining preschoolers and that says a lot.

I'm not ashamed to admit I can still sing along with some of my favorite Sesame Street songs.  Who remembers Ernie singing "Rubby Ducky" or Cookie Monster's ode to cookies?

I was thrilled to receive Sesame Street: 5 Little Rubber Duckies By Matt Mitter and Illustrated by: Tom Brannon.  The book is perfect for preschoolers ages: 3 - 5 and helps reemphasize basic counting skills.
Join Ernie and his friends for a counting adventure in this fun, hands-on board book!

Join Ernie and his friends on Sesame Street as they try to find five little rubber duckies. With touch and trace elements perfect for little hands and plastic duckies to push and count along, this book is the perfect story time activity for early learners.

The board book is only 12 pages and it's interactive so it's perfect for sharing with groups.  We had fun sharing it and letting kids come up to move the duckies along as we read.
The book is available at stores nationwide including Walmart, Target, Amazon and more.

Who are some of your, I mean your kid's,  favorite Sesame Street characters?

I didn't hear about Mr Rogers stamp, now that is cool. I gew up with him and Sesame street, it was like the only channel (PBS) we had back in those days! So cool that younger kids today can still enjoy sesame street.
I loved Sesame Street when I was little and for my kids. This looks like an adorable board book!

I still sing these songs myself and have no problem admiting it. I loved Mr. Rodges, Seasme Street, the Electric Company, and Captian Kangaroo for that matter.
The claissics are always and forever the best!
This book looks like a perfect one year old birthday gift! I cannot believe that Sesame Street is still so popular!
I've always been a huge Sesame Street fan! My girls all love Elmo and Cookie Monster!

What a fun book! Both my daughters were never really into Sesame Street but my youngest is now three and always liked Elmo best. I grew up with Sesame Street and love that they are still creating excellent educational programs.

Abby's favorite characters are Big Bird and Cookie Monster. She could watch them all day if I'd let her. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers so I'll have to check out the stamps.

One of my husband's favorite books from his childhood is the Grover one about the monster at the end of the book. He still reads it to our kids.

Maple and Brown Sugar Air Fryer Bacon

I've been raving about my Instant Pot but now I have a new favorite... the Air Fryer.   O M G This thing is amazing!  I don't know why I was so late to the Air Fryer craze but I am so glad I am finally onboard.   I've been talking about getting one and then after my aunt posted pics of her new air fryer, that was it off to Best Buy I went.   I wasn't sure how big of a unit I would need but I figured the 2.5 liter would suffice.  I chose the Chefman Express.  It was priced on the shelves for $85 but online for $75.99 and my local store matched the price AND I had my Swagbucks Best Buy QR code so I got 500 SBs + 2 SBs for every dollar spent so that's another 170 SBs.  So, after discounts, my air fryer ended up costing me less than the sale price.  Woohoo! There were some fancy ones on the shelves with digital display but after checking the reviews I figured since I don't fry much this model would suffice. When I think of fried foods, I think

A Pit Stop at Sho Nuff Hot Tamales in Greenville, Mississippi

My cousin and I were driving along and our tummies were rumbling as we crossed the Mississippi state line on US-82.  We didn't really have any particular dish in mind for lunch but we started seeing signs saying "Hot Tamales". "Hot Tamales", my Philly cousin asked. "Yep", I replied nonchalantly.  "I remember reading something about hot tamales being a big thing here in the Delta."   We kept driving and finally decided we would have to try these famous Mississippi Delta hot tamales. Now to decide which one.  There were literally dozens of tamale spots.  We happened upon a restaurant called Sho-Nuff and decided it was the one. We parked and entered the large, delightfully decorated restaurant.  The wall was plastered with local and national awards in recognition of those hot tamales.   There was a sign touting Sho-Nuff as the winner of the local newspaper's favorite restaurant award and 3rd place winner in the annual  Delta Hot Ta
