Bedtime for Baby: God's Little Lambs, My First Bible

Bibles make great gifts.  Each year my church gifts graduating seniors with an engraved Bible.  My husband received his over 30 years ago and he STILL has that Bible and reads from it daily.  When my kids were born my mom entrusted me with the family Children's Bible.  She purchased it in the 1970s from a door to door salesman.  It's a family treasure full of our family's genealogical history.  I hope to gift our family Bible to my children and grandchildren someday.

Do you remember your first Bible?  I can't say I do but I remember the first Bible I ever loved.  It was the Children's Book of Bible Stories.  A Jehovah's Witness gifted it to me when I was a kid.  This was the first book of Bible stories I gifted to each of my children.  Now they're older and have Bibles of their own but this book of Bible stories was their first.
God's Little Lambs My First Bible is a wonderful book of Bible stories for little ones.  In addition to being a cute book of Bible stories, this adorable book would be the perfect addition to your child's Easter basket.

God’s Little Lambs, My First Bible is a storybook Bible written just for little ones. With a padded cover that sparkles with glitter, and simple text by Julie Stiegemeyer, children will learn about God’s love through stories such as Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Big Fish, and Jesus Loves the Children. With soft brushstrokes and warm colors, Qin Leng provides illustrations readers will love to cuddle up with at bedtime or any time of the day.

God’s Little Lambs, My First Bible would make a great nursery gift or a great gift for preschooler or new Bible reader.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

12 Delicious Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas They're Sure to Gobble Up

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left. After the last guest has left and after I’ve put away the last load of dishes in the dishwasher, it’s time to break out the freezer bags and storage containers and fill up the fridge with all the leftovers.  Here are 12 of our favorite ways to gobble up Turkey Day leftovers and a chance to win a $25 Walmart eGiftcard.   1.       Thanksgiving Casserole         2.       Turkey Roll Ups         3.       Turkey Club Sandwiches         4.       Thanksgiving Pizza  ...
