The benefits of apple cider vinegar (ACV) are too plentiful to list. Apple cider vinegar contains powerful antioxidants and it's been a trusted home remedy for centuries. My mom recommends ACV for whatever ails you. She's one of those who can drink that magical ACV tonic of water, honey and ACV. Me? Notsomuch. I have tried several times but I just can't do it.
Rather than focus on the health benefits of ACV, I decided to share some beauty uses. It's amazing how one ingredient can make be used for so many things. I should clarify I used Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar for each of these.
1. Relaxing Bath: Add 1/2 cup ACV, 1 cup Epsom salts and your favorite essential oil to your bath for a soothing, relaxing bath.
2. Teeth Whitener: 1/2 cup ACV and 1/2 cup water. Gargle after brushing
3. Sugar Scrub: Mix 1 tsp. ACV and 1/2 cup sugar. Can be used on face and makes a soothing lip scrub
5. Relaxing Foot Soak: Mix one cup apple cider vinegar with four cups water in a basin. Soak feet for 15 minutes. Rinse. Dry.
6. Hair Rinse: ¼ cup of ACV with 2 cups water. Shampoo. Massage ACV solution onto your hair and let it sit for 5 minutes. Rinse.
Do you keep ACV on your pantry? Have you tried any of these home remedies?
