Did You Know Today Is...

Is it ironic that I don't want to write on National I Love to Write Day?
Guess I'll break out the little red wagon, bake a bundt cake and recycle today.
What are you celebrating today?

I love this. I Know you have done these funny "holidays" before and I really enjoy reading them. Now I am off to celebrate a few accordingly.

I love that there is a holiday for everything. I'm kinda liking the idea of bundt cake day. Hmmm - what kind should I make?

There is a celebration for something different everyday. All of those bloggers out there are writing away. Maybe someone will actually write a real letter today to someone.

I need to tell my friend about the state. She's writing a book and it would be fun to tell her that it's national I love to write day. She might write all day just to celebrate.
I didn't know that there was a day for this! I did write today, so I guess I celebrated.

I knew nothing about any of these days. A bundt cake sounds good. Especially if it is yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

I wish I had known it was National bundt day. I love a good bundt cake for dessert. I am also all about recycling so I am a fan of America Recycles Day.

I should have done some extra creative writing today to celebrate. Maybe some reading will be good enough though!
I've never heard of National I Love To Write Day. I am happy about a few things, no official celebrations going on though.

It's been a struggle for me to finish a post lately but I managed to do one yesterday. Perfect for the National I love to Write day.

haha! I don't blame you. Work against the man. Just because you love to write doesn't mean you have to do so on the day designated for it. Enjoy whatever you want today!

Seems like every day celebrates something! It is good to celebrate your own thing, whether it is a designated holiday or not. I always seem to miss the good ones - like chocolate or cats!

Awww.. I missed this. I should have made a bundt cake! Anyway, it is never too late to celebrate a special holiday. We'll still have that Bundt cake, only a few days late. :)

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

12 Delicious Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas They're Sure to Gobble Up

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left. After the last guest has left and after I’ve put away the last load of dishes in the dishwasher, it’s time to break out the freezer bags and storage containers and fill up the fridge with all the leftovers.  Here are 12 of our favorite ways to gobble up Turkey Day leftovers and a chance to win a $25 Walmart eGiftcard.   1.       Thanksgiving Casserole         2.       Turkey Roll Ups         3.       Turkey Club Sandwiches         4.       Thanksgiving Pizza  ...
