Hey, It's Okay

Hey it's okay

...to binge watch a subtitled telenovela on Netflix over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, and...

...to tune your car stereo to that song you wouldn't dare let your kids listen to.

...to eat the same thing over and over and over again for lunch because you really like it.  Hey, I like the Nutrisystem Chicken Chili with a dollop of fat free sour cream.

...to cry a little when your kid tells you "He got the job".  Yeah, my kid got his first job as an editorial cartoonist at his college's newspaper.  OMG, time flew by so fast.  #ProudMomMoment
G R Clark IV, Editorial Cartoonist
...to wish you could build a time machine to go back a good 10, 15 years when your kid was younger.

...to daydream at your desk with a pile of work sitting in front of you because your fave co-worker called in sick today.

Thanks to Airing My Laundry for the opportunity to share my Hey, It's Okay! list.  Pop on over to Airing my Laundry blog and check out more Hey, It's Okay posts.

What about you? What are you resolving to be okay with today?

Hey it is okay to have those proud mom moments. What we raised them for right. We all have our favorite lunch or snack and eat it all the time.

What a great post... yes it is ok! I like your attitude - it's good to live a little! Too many folks are too stressed out. And congratulations to your son, that is a wonderful achievement.

I wish I could build a time machine all the time! Sometimes, I want to go back to when my kids were younger but sometimes, to be honest, I kind of wish I could fast forward through these teenage years! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?! ha!

Aw, congrats to your son on his job. That is so fabulous!

And I just love binging shows on Netflix. I recently did this with Atypical on there.

Congrats to your son! And yes, I'd love to build a time machine and revisit my kids when they were little. They grow up way too fast!

I love post like this because it makes me feel like I'm not the only one that feels a certain way. You are correct it is OK to binge watch sometimes. Sometimes you just need to lock yourself away from the world and have fun with a show you love.

Congratulations on the achievement of your kid. Indeed time flies and suddenly you see that little kid transformed into a young man, it is okay if a tear or two leaves the sanctuary of the eyes.

Haha I am so glad I'm not the only person who eats things over and over as they are just delicious!

I would love to have a time machine to go back to when my Son was little again. The time goes by so fast I would be thrilled to hold him as a baby again.

I've been sick for the past week so I wanna say it's okay to rest and take care of yourself even when you've got lots of work to do... Gotta put your health first!

You're right it's OK to live a little!!! Especially all the proud mom moments. Congrats to your son on his first job, I am still waiting for my daughter and her first job. She is so excited so I hope she gets it. BTW I love binge watching Netflix. My daughter and I binged watched the whole season of Friday Night Lights in 2 days!
For me, I can say, "Its Okay" that I overslept and I am proud of that! I usually only catch 3-4 hours sleep every night but not last night! I did a full 8 hours sleep. Oh goodness. That felt so refreshing. And yes, it is okay that my family had to make their own breakfast.

I love the idea of this post! I want to say that "It's okay" to spend a weekend in bed watching tv.
What makes me feel okay today is that I got to see my husband beside me and see my kids learning and growing the fun way. As long as my family is with me, I feel okay.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
