Easy 3 Ingredient Halloween Sugar Cookies

My sis and I were talking and out of the blue she says "Remember when we were little and you used to make those sugar cookies?"

I can't believe she remembered.  My sis and haven't baked cookies together in years.  She laughed when I told her I still bake those cookies.

The recipe was simple: 1 stick of butter, some sugar and flour.
Sometimes we would get all fancy and mix in some of the flavored extracts my mom kept in the pantry or top the cookies with sugary sprinkles or a dusting of sugar.
Nothing compares to the smell of cookies baking in the oven and it's one of my favorite ways to spend quality time with the kids. I always enlist the aid of my three boys and little lady when I'm in the kitchen.

Funny seeing my kids whipping up stuff in the kitchen on their own, making their own snacks or following along a recipe from one of my cookbooks.
What makes this recipe so perfect is that it's only 3 ingredients and even though the first batch rarely turns out just right, you can scrounge up enough cookie bits while waiting for the next batch to finish baking.
Have you ever baked these 3 ingredient sugar cookies before?  What's your favorite cookie to bake?

This will be a fun idea to do on Halloween. Make some sugar cookies, eat them and then go out trick-or-treating. That sounds like a fun night.

I've only ever thought of making cut out sugar cookies for Christmas. But I should make them for all the holidays since they make cookie cutters for every occasion.

I just love baking with my kids just like you. The only problem is that my pantry is hardly ever stocked. Your recipe is most definitely going to solve that problem with only 3 simple ingredients.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
