Dreaming of My Dream Laundry Room

I've been having the strangest dreams here as of late?  Last night I dream I had a brand new laundry room.  I admit I would love a new laundry room.  I mean I often wonder if I am the last person on earth with a basic white washer / dryer pair,

My sister and I went shopping and I was drawn to the laundry appliances.

My washer and dryer are fairly new.  3-5 years maybe but a lot has changed since.  My washer has a sensor which locks the top at the beginning of the cycle.  Great feature UNTIL you find that one rebel sock which fell by the wayside as you were loading the washer and have to cancel the wash cycle to put the one sock in.  UGH!!!

I've got my eye and wallet on a few new appliances and a desire to update my laundry room.

First things first.  I want an azure blue front loading washer and the matching dryer.  I saw this while attending a social media conference earlier this year and fell in love.

Blue is one of my favorite colors and everyone else seems to have the red or stainless steel models.  I want the blue one.

I also want a drying rack. I think if I had a drying rack I would probably save a few of my sweaters from shrinkage which occurs because I only intended to leave them in the dryer for a few minutes but I got busy doing LIFE and forgot.

I doubt my local charity would like the decrease in sweater donations but I'm sure my wallet would love not having to replace sweaters year after year.

I would want MATCHING laundry baskets that aren't plastic.

Don't get me wrong.  I love my plastic laundry baskets but this is MY DREAM laundry room.

Lastly, I would have a laundry sorter with a hang bar and lots of hangers.

The hang bar would come in handy for hanging clothes fresh out the dryer and decrease ironing time.  I'm kidding.  I hate ironing. I hang the clothes fresh out the dryer so I DON'T have to iron.  Confession:  If it really has to be ironed, I'm taking it to the cleaners.

Turns out dream of clean laundry signifies good luck and positive events coming your way.  I hope it means an updated laundry room!!! *fingers crossed, wallet open*

What about you?
What  would be in your dream laundry room?
Or do you already have your dream laundry room?

It's funny that you mentioned a drying rack. I remember when I was a kid, my nana had one and I never understood why she used it when she had a dryer. Of course, now I get it, but I forgot all about that. Now I want to go get one, too.

I redid my laundry room last year. It's a combination laundry/mud room and I love it. I upgraded to front loaders and now I do have my dream laundry room. I do wish it was a tad bigger.

I just wish my laundry room was bigger! It's pretty small. I would love a new washer and dryer...mine are like 10 years old.

I would love to have a laundry room like this. My washer and dryer are both working but they are extremely old. At some point I definitely want to change it up and make it look really beautiful.

Yes, a laundry room is a utilitarian room of the house but that doesn't mean it has to be ugly. These are great things to have in a gorgeous laundry room. We redid our laundry room last year and we love going in there now.

I would love a huge laundry room/ mud room with a drop zone. My son plays sports and it would make things so much easier!

These are great ideas for a new laundry room. I would love to have the blue set. I am hoping to replace our appliances in the spring.

My washer does the same locking thing and it drives me nuts. Especially if you have to pause it while it is spinning. Takes forever for it to unlock.

I would love to have enough room either in the laundry room or bedroom to have the triple sorter...and a hanging rack. and i wouldn't mind front loading washer either.

Just like all of you, my laundry room is small, too. I need to organize it in a way that it doesn't look messy.

I am thinking of updating my laundry room to be a nice lounge. Probably put a bar and some game tables lol as my whole basement is my laundry area

My laundry room is also a catch-all room in our basement. Aside from laundry I hid xmas gifts, wrap xmas gifts, store luggage & donation items....it could use a lot of help!

Honestly, doing up the laundry room and making it a place I LOVE to be in makes me do laundry all the more often haha!! It really amazes me how much it helped - it's worth it!

You just reminded me that I need a new drying rack, lol. I loaned mine out last week and doubt I'd get it back. I love the items you selected for your laundry room dream. I've always wanted a laundry room but apartments just don't have them.
I wish our house has a space for a laundry room and those Blue Washer and dryer are so beautiful. I'd want one for me too.

Maple and Brown Sugar Air Fryer Bacon

I've been raving about my Instant Pot but now I have a new favorite... the Air Fryer.   O M G This thing is amazing!  I don't know why I was so late to the Air Fryer craze but I am so glad I am finally onboard.   I've been talking about getting one and then after my aunt posted pics of her new air fryer, that was it off to Best Buy I went.   I wasn't sure how big of a unit I would need but I figured the 2.5 liter would suffice.  I chose the Chefman Express.  It was priced on the shelves for $85 but online for $75.99 and my local store matched the price AND I had my Swagbucks Best Buy QR code so I got 500 SBs + 2 SBs for every dollar spent so that's another 170 SBs.  So, after discounts, my air fryer ended up costing me less than the sale price.  Woohoo! There were some fancy ones on the shelves with digital display but after checking the reviews I figured since I don't fry much this model would suffice. When I think of fried foods, I think

A Pit Stop at Sho Nuff Hot Tamales in Greenville, Mississippi

My cousin and I were driving along and our tummies were rumbling as we crossed the Mississippi state line on US-82.  We didn't really have any particular dish in mind for lunch but we started seeing signs saying "Hot Tamales". "Hot Tamales", my Philly cousin asked. "Yep", I replied nonchalantly.  "I remember reading something about hot tamales being a big thing here in the Delta."   We kept driving and finally decided we would have to try these famous Mississippi Delta hot tamales. Now to decide which one.  There were literally dozens of tamale spots.  We happened upon a restaurant called Sho-Nuff and decided it was the one. We parked and entered the large, delightfully decorated restaurant.  The wall was plastered with local and national awards in recognition of those hot tamales.   There was a sign touting Sho-Nuff as the winner of the local newspaper's favorite restaurant award and 3rd place winner in the annual  Delta Hot Ta
