Bedtime for Baby Book Reviews: Peace Dragon Alphabet Picture Books

Flowerpot Press recently added two new books to their Peace Dragon collection.  The books, alphaBetter and How I Did It, are whimsical books featuring creative uses of language.

We received copies of both books to review and share.

alphaBetter, written by Linda Ragsdale with illustrations by Martina Hogan, is a delightful play on words book.  The second in the Peace Dragon series - Words was the first - is a vocabulary wonder.  Little ones and new readers are sure to enjoy hearing you pronounce these word combinations without laughing.  Really, I mean you try saying "Goolarious" three times fast without laughing.

The watercolor illustrations of various animals are the perfect accompaniment to this literary creation.  alphaBetter is fun to read and perfect for children of all ages.

Empower your vocabulary with this hilarious dictionary full of playfully re-paired words that motivate, uplift, and inspire. Laugh and learn as you read each new word, and discover the amazing power our words have when we use them to encourage others and ourselves!

How I Did It is another play on words from Flowerpot Children's Press written by Linda Ragsdale with illustrations by Anoosha Syed.

The letter I takes on a persona and tags readers along on a ride from paper to the classroom.  A fun read with active, colorful illustrations which will have readers eager to go to the next page and wanting you to read this book over and over again.

How I Did It is a great read for new readers and introduces a few vocab combinations but nothing too difficult.

Curious and inspired, I was full of ideas. I turned adversity into adventure when I took a chance and tried to change. Readers young and old will be inspired by how I did it.

Reading to children is so important and really essential for their brains. I have been reading to my kids for the past 15 years. My son, a teenager, will still venture in when I read to my daughters at night.

My 19 month old grandson is starting to show interest in reading. He can breeze through a spelling app on my phone. I think this would be a great book to get for him. Thanks for the review!

Now that my boys are getting older we are getting rid of our nighttime board books and it makes me so sad. At least we have supplies for our Little Free Library!

I'm a sucker for cute children's books. My daughter is starting Kindergarten in the fall so we are reading a lot of books.
Both of these books look like great options for little ones. Perfect for that bedtime story! I miss that with my kids. I should have them read to me now. :)

Here’s your chance to start the new year off with a win. A few rows down we spotted some animal neck massager…
