A Day at the Beach #Nutrisystem #NSNation #Ad

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post. I am a proud member of the Nutrisystem #NSNation Blogger Program.

During a recent trip to Florida, the family and I decided to visit Clearwater Beach, about an hour or so drive from Orlando.

We figured we would spend most of the day there so we packed snacks, lunch and plenty of water.

I love the convenience of the pack and go Nutrisystem meals.  No refrigeration required.  No cooking.  Just open up when I'm ready to eat.

My favorite is the Nutrisystem Tuna Salad.  13 grams of protein in each packet. Water chestnuts and onion add a little crunch to the Nutrisystem Tuna Salad.  Nutrisystem suggests serving it as a sandwich with a wheat roll or as a salad topper.
I'm not much for tuna sandwiches and salads at the beach but I love lettuce wraps. Lettuce wraps are a perfect meal for the beach.  Easy to make and easy to pack.
Nutrisystem Tuna salad lettuce wraps are easy to make simply open the pouch and spoon onto a large leaf of romaine lettuce, roll and enjoy
I like to jazz my tuna salad up a bit by adding a little extra onion, some relish and horseradish mustard.
Did you know romaine lettuce is one of the unlimited veggies you can enjoy while on Nutrisystem?
With lunch packed it was off to the beach. The marina as you approach Clearwater Beach is gorgeous.  Lots of fancy boats and yachts docked on both sides.
There were lots of resort condos along the coastline.  We met a couple who was visiting Florida with a church group from Nashville, Tennessee.  They decided to break away from their group for a night and treat their kids to a day of relaxation at Clearwater Beach.  They lucked up on a condo rental just steps away from the beach.
Had to snap this pic of a guy strolling along with his metal detector.  He stopped and chatted with us when one of the kids asked if had found anything.  "Not today" he replied.
At one point the sun just seemed to land directly over the water's endless edge.  Everyone took notice.  People were pointing at what seemed like a huge yellow, beach ball just bouncing on the water.
We watched as the sun set along the warm ocean waters.
Hard to believe we had been there for several hours.  Time faded as the sun faded into the waters.
What are some of your favorite foods to pack for lunch on the beach?

I pack my Nutrisystem meals when I go to the beach too! In fact this will happen again in two weeks. I love taking the bars on the beach for lunch and also like you said, the tuna!

Nothing like spending the day at the beach enjoying water and sand. Those tuna wraps would be perfect lunch to pack and take.
I love to pack baby carrots and water. They are my go to for snacks.

What a great place to visit! We went there many years ago, and it is a beautiful beach. Sounds like you have a great system going for staying on track with your meals. This sounds very convenient and nice that it works well with traveling too. We usually take sandwiches, or cheese / crackers / fruit with us. But we always bring a cooler.
I have heard great things about Nutrisystem. Sounds like you are really enjoying it. It really makes a big difference when you like the food!

It is freezing outside today and I have two outdoor youth soccer team games I need to coach this afternoon. I could use a day at the beach myself!

That is really awesome. I didn't know they offered easy meals like that. I would love to take that tuna pouch on the go with me.

Great escape indeed. Such a nice way to destress and bond with our family. Having pack meals as well or easy to prepare meals is a good idea too.
Easy and healthy meals are my thing! I haven't heard much about Nutrisystem but I'd for sure enjoy it if I were to try no doubt! - Jeanine

A day at the beach is always a fun way to relax and unwind!
I love a good Tuna Salad or Tuna sandwich. When at the beach, I think it calls for a lot of snacks especially when you have kids with you.

I think I would be too nervous of lettuce wraps at the beach. Just the sand getting in there would not make me happy. Although most things I worry getting sand in. And the best sandwich I had was a caprese sandwich at the beach. Very delicious.

Maple and Brown Sugar Air Fryer Bacon

I've been raving about my Instant Pot but now I have a new favorite... the Air Fryer.   O M G This thing is amazing!  I don't know why I was so late to the Air Fryer craze but I am so glad I am finally onboard.   I've been talking about getting one and then after my aunt posted pics of her new air fryer, that was it off to Best Buy I went.   I wasn't sure how big of a unit I would need but I figured the 2.5 liter would suffice.  I chose the Chefman Express.  It was priced on the shelves for $85 but online for $75.99 and my local store matched the price AND I had my Swagbucks Best Buy QR code so I got 500 SBs + 2 SBs for every dollar spent so that's another 170 SBs.  So, after discounts, my air fryer ended up costing me less than the sale price.  Woohoo! There were some fancy ones on the shelves with digital display but after checking the reviews I figured since I don't fry much this model would suffice. When I think of fried foods, I think

A Pit Stop at Sho Nuff Hot Tamales in Greenville, Mississippi

My cousin and I were driving along and our tummies were rumbling as we crossed the Mississippi state line on US-82.  We didn't really have any particular dish in mind for lunch but we started seeing signs saying "Hot Tamales". "Hot Tamales", my Philly cousin asked. "Yep", I replied nonchalantly.  "I remember reading something about hot tamales being a big thing here in the Delta."   We kept driving and finally decided we would have to try these famous Mississippi Delta hot tamales. Now to decide which one.  There were literally dozens of tamale spots.  We happened upon a restaurant called Sho-Nuff and decided it was the one. We parked and entered the large, delightfully decorated restaurant.  The wall was plastered with local and national awards in recognition of those hot tamales.   There was a sign touting Sho-Nuff as the winner of the local newspaper's favorite restaurant award and 3rd place winner in the annual  Delta Hot Ta
