My Nutrisystem Journey Week 13 + Tips to Finding the PERFECT Swimsuit #ad #NutrisystemSnaps

We are beach bound and it's time for the annual swimsuit shopping hunt, I mean shopping trip, shopping trip.

Truth is -SURPRISE- I am actually looking forward to shopping for swimsuits this year.  I've been on Nutrisystem for about 5 months now and last year's swimsuit is too big.  *tosses confetti and tosses old swimsuit in donation box*

Here are some tips sure to make your swimsuit shopping experience less of a headache.

SHOP YOUR SHAPE
Be honest with yourself. String bikinis are NOT for everyone. I am a work in progress. Nutrisystem is helping me shed the excess weight but I would rather wear a comfortable swimsuit than spend my day at the beach adjusting wedgies.  If you're a plus size diva like me, you may want to opt for a suit with wider straps to keep the girls supported and a full coverage bottom.

Disclosure: I am an Nutrisystem Blogger and I received a complimentary subscription to Nutrisystem in exchange for this post. Follow #NutrisystemSnaps for more on my weight loss journey and that of other #NSNation bloggers.

TIP:  Wide straps and suits with high backs tend to hide problem areas.

1 PIECE OR 2
In the words of the 90s chart topping music group Digital Underground "DoWutChaLike". Nothing looks better on a person than confidence.  If your mind, body and soul say "Hunty that 2-piece is all you", go for it.  If you're not quite there yet or prefer a more modest 2-piece tankini or boy short or a 1 piece swimsuit.

TRY IT ON
Before you buy that swimsuit, try it on.  Make sure the suit fits to your liking.  Look in the mirror to make sure everything you want covered is covered.  Be mindful some fabrics expand when wet so you may be able to shop a size down.  Check your top and bottom. Check it again. Have a shopping buddy check it.  Make sure the suit comfortably fits your top, bottom and sides.

COVER IT UP
A good cover up is a swimsuit essential.  Some cover ups can do double duty going from the beach / pool to the after party.  Find a cover up that compliments your swimsuit and maybe some accessories to compliment your swimsuit fit.

Oh, and remember everyone can't rock every thang so before you purchase that purple leopard print, TRY IT ON.  Who knows you just may be able to rock that!

I totally agree that bathing suits need to be tried on! You HAVE to make sure they are going to fit and you will be comfortable in them.

Im thrilled to be able to wear a two piece now after loosing 50 lbs with nutrisystem. I still have to try on several to get one that looks right. I ended up getting a couple with a skirt bottom but they have a short skirt almost like a long ruffle. They are still cute without looking old. But of course I am old. Ha

I have been exercising since January but I have not had any success as far as fitting into smaller clothes. I'm going to work harder at it because I would love to be able to buy a smaller wardrobe than what I have now.

This is such a great post, buying a swimming costume can be a nightmare, I'm a larger lady but have found tankinis are great - they don't show anymore than a swimming costume but really flatter my shape.

I need to go swimsuit shopping soon! I do love tankinis which I have now, but the bottoms are too big and the top isn't comfortable for long periods.

Bathing suit shopping is the worst! I never find anything when I'm looking for one. It's when I'm not looking I find one!

These are great tips for finding the right swimsuit for you. I have always favored the one piece swimsuit. The cover ups I have always loved too. It is so important to get the right suit for your body shape. Thanks for sharing the information.
It is so difficult to buy swim wear! It looks good on those online magazines but it does not look the same once you've purchased it.

I always go for one piece suits but I never buy them from online stores no matter how pretty they look. I have to get a feel of the material and have a chance to try it on before I buy.

Still not sure about how to properly shop for my body's shape so this is awesome. I lean towards one pieces these days. I just like the style!

Maple and Brown Sugar Air Fryer Bacon

I've been raving about my Instant Pot but now I have a new favorite... the Air Fryer.   O M G This thing is amazing!  I don't know why I was so late to the Air Fryer craze but I am so glad I am finally onboard.   I've been talking about getting one and then after my aunt posted pics of her new air fryer, that was it off to Best Buy I went.   I wasn't sure how big of a unit I would need but I figured the 2.5 liter would suffice.  I chose the Chefman Express.  It was priced on the shelves for $85 but online for $75.99 and my local store matched the price AND I had my Swagbucks Best Buy QR code so I got 500 SBs + 2 SBs for every dollar spent so that's another 170 SBs.  So, after discounts, my air fryer ended up costing me less than the sale price.  Woohoo! There were some fancy ones on the shelves with digital display but after checking the reviews I figured since I don't fry much this model would suffice. When I think of fried foods, I think

A Pit Stop at Sho Nuff Hot Tamales in Greenville, Mississippi

My cousin and I were driving along and our tummies were rumbling as we crossed the Mississippi state line on US-82.  We didn't really have any particular dish in mind for lunch but we started seeing signs saying "Hot Tamales". "Hot Tamales", my Philly cousin asked. "Yep", I replied nonchalantly.  "I remember reading something about hot tamales being a big thing here in the Delta."   We kept driving and finally decided we would have to try these famous Mississippi Delta hot tamales. Now to decide which one.  There were literally dozens of tamale spots.  We happened upon a restaurant called Sho-Nuff and decided it was the one. We parked and entered the large, delightfully decorated restaurant.  The wall was plastered with local and national awards in recognition of those hot tamales.   There was a sign touting Sho-Nuff as the winner of the local newspaper's favorite restaurant award and 3rd place winner in the annual  Delta Hot Ta
