My "It's Not Him, It's ME: Moment: My Struggle With Infertility

“This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.”

Late at night when the house is quiet and the kids are sleeping, I sometimes peek in on them. I stand there at their door in awe. Sometimes it brings me to tears just thinking of my life before they arrived.

I can't help but think of the countless visits to fertility clinics, numerous meds and rivers of tears I cried during our fertility journey.

I guess there were signs of my impending fertility struggle. I mean I started my cycle later than most of my friends. I often had a hair or two spring up like a pimple just days before my cycle and I began to pack on the pounds. Telltale signs of Stein-Levanthal Syndrome also known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
I first heard of PCOS in my late 20s. I remember visits to endocrinologists who poked and prodded in an effort to figure out if I suffered from hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism or blah-blah-blah. Really, there comes a point when you no longer hear any of the medical jargon being hurled at you. A time when you can't process your body's rejection. A time when all you wanna do is scream. A time when your faith fails and you wonder "Why Me".

For some of us, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Some of us get that golden ticket to the Parent Hood.

I hope it gives hope to couples who are longing to have a family of their very own. Hubby and I were blessed with three boys and a little old lady who we treasure as it was truly a journey.

Stork sounds like a great tool to help with conception. It can be so hard to get pregnant!
What a great post. Fertility issues are something that so many couples struggle with, and they feel like they are all alone. It's great when bloggers are brave enough to put themselves out there like that to help others.

My sister struggled with infertility for years. She tried different methods, doctors, etc and didn't see any result! She gave up and decided to take a break from work. She went to Bali and came home with a positive result!
It's not easy to conceive and there are couples who go through so much before they can conceive and have a baby. Stork sounds like a reliable solution and I sure hope that couples give it a try.

I am super thankful that I didn't struggle with major infertility problems. When I was trying to get pregnant with my youngest, we thought that something was up when I didn't get pregnant right away. We ended up not trying any treatments and went with whatever happens. It did take 18 months to get pregnant and I remember telling my husband that I was late that I might be pregnant. He picked up a test on the way home. I kinda knew that I was but I didn't want to be disappointed so I waited until the next morning. Sure enough, those lines showed up quickly.

Happy New Year!

What better way to kick off the new year than with a giveaway! I am so excited to join The Mommy Island, The Kids Did It and 90+ other fab blogs in the first big giveaway hop of 2018!

Here’s your chance to start the new year off with a win. One lucky Three Boys and an Old Lady blog reader will receive a $15 Walmart eGift card. $10 may not seem like a lot but it’s enough to stock up on some last minute Christmas clearance gifts. Trust me. I bought a 6’ Christmas tree WITH lights, 2 animal massagers, 3 Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser, Christmas cards and wrapping paper less than $20 during an after Christmas Walmart shopping trip.

I was searching for some cough syrup when my friend’s kid spotted the Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser on sale for 50 cents. What a steal! The regular price is $10 so to find them on sale for 50 cents was a deal. We cleared the shelves.

A few rows down we spotted some animal neck massager…
