We were at a ceremony at the kids' school and a familiar face sat in the row behind us. A woman tapped my son on his shoulder to say "Hello." It was our family dentist.
My kids have been going to the same dentist since we moved into our neighborhood over a decade ago and it's been fun watching our kids grow up together. Her youngest daughter and our twin sons are in the same grade. She's helped keep our kids cavity free and she reinforces these good dental habit tips hubby and I share with our kids.
1. Brush your teeth at least 2 times a day
2. Floss daily
3. Protect your mouth with a mouthguard when playing
sports
4. Minimize sugary treats and drinks. Snack healthy.
5. Fluoridated toothpaste and fluoridated water
When I was asked to review the TUNG Brush, I asked our family dentist what her thoughts were on tongue brushes. I had never heard of a brush designed specifically for cleaning the tongue and guess what neither had she. I always brushed my tongue with my toothbrush whenever I brushed my teeth and guess what, so did she.
Our dentist told us the levels of bacteria on my tongue were way more than those on my teeth. GROSS!!!
Every time I brush my tongue with my toothbrush I gag. The TUNG Brush is designed to clean your tongue without gagging. It's wide shape helps prevent the dreaded "gag reflex".

TUNG recommends that we brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth and replace your TUNG brush every three months just as you would your toothbrush.
