BEDTIME FOR BABY BOOK REVIEWS: ONCE UPON A TIME HOLY BIBLE AND STORYBOOK BIBLE

"The Bible is not a fairy tale, but every great story happened “once upon a time.” The Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible highlights powerful and inspiring stories from the Bible, beautifully illustrated with fantastical artwork by Omar Aranda. Each captivating story is told in a way that will get children excited about reading the tales of real heroes of the Bible."

FlyBy Promotions sent me both the Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible and The Once Upon a Time Holy Bible for review.  Both are written in NIrV (New International Readers Version).  NIrV is an easy to read biblical translation perfect for new readers and coupled with these vivid illustrations, these Bibles are sure to be a fave of your little one or new reader.
Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible
The Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible features 33 familiar Bible stories and lots of brightly colored illustrations.  Each story is just a couple of pages which is perfect for lulling little ones to sleep.  This is more of a book of Bible stories than a Bible per se, but for those looking for a Bible, there is the accompanying Once Upon a Time Holy Bible.
Once Upon a Time Holy Bible
The Once Upon a Time Holy Bible is an easy to read Bible complete with listing of Bible books, explanation of the NIrV translation, index and dictionary.  An ideal gift for an elementary school aged Bible reader and would make a wonderful addition to the church library.

Both are beautifully illustrated and a great way to share the love of our Heavenly Father.  For more info on either of these selections, visit www.zondervan.com or a local bookstore near you.

This looks like a wonderful bedtime-story book for children. I especially like how it's fully interested, which can help to keep children engaged. I also like that the stories are brief (just a few pages each, as you mentioned in the review), making them great for just-before-bed.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

12 Delicious Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas They're Sure to Gobble Up

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left. After the last guest has left and after I’ve put away the last load of dishes in the dishwasher, it’s time to break out the freezer bags and storage containers and fill up the fridge with all the leftovers.  Here are 12 of our favorite ways to gobble up Turkey Day leftovers and a chance to win a $25 Walmart eGiftcard.   1.       Thanksgiving Casserole         2.       Turkey Roll Ups         3.       Turkey Club Sandwiches         4.       Thanksgiving Pizza  ...
