Check Out How @Nickelodeon DVDs is Helping Me Avoid Cries of "I'm Bored" During our Winter Break

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Nickelodeon DVDs. I received the DVDs highlighted above in exchange for this post. No monetary compensation was received. The views expressed below are mine. Many thanks to Nickelodeon DVD and the PR firm for this opportunity.

The kids will be out of school for Winter break soon and I am already trying to find ways to ward off the inevitable cries of "I'm bored". I know it's coming.  I can't avoid it.

It may Day 2, it may be Day 8, it could even be the day before they return to school but  sometime within the next two weeks one of my kids is going to utter those dreaded words.

I'm prepared though. The pantry is stocked with hot chocolate and plenty of snacks.  Pencils are sharpened.  Crayon box is filled with crayons and markers.  Printer is full of paper.  Weekly trips to library planned.  I'm ready!  I'm ready!  *in my SpongeBob voice*  Plus, the latest Nickelodeon's Winter DVD releases will keep the kids entertained and give me a much needed Winter break.

Nickelodeon DVD has something for everyone from the preschooler to the teens and tweens.

For the little ones, we have Nickelodeon Favorites: A Very Nick Jr. Christmas and PAW Patrol: Pups Save Christmas.

6 episodes featuring •Blaze and the Monster Machines •Shimmer and Shine •Dora and Friends •Bubble Guppies and •Wallykazam!

6 fun episodes crammed into an hour of fun for the little ones with Ryder, Chase and Everest.

The older kids will enjoy a little action courtesy of TMNT - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Mutant Ninja Turtles: Earth's Last Stand.  7 episodes of non-stop turtle power PLUS a free Raphael zipper pull AKA stocking stuffer for one of the kids.

I can't wait to surprise the kids with The Legend of Korra: The Complete Series.  ALL 52 episodes.  Woohoo!!! That's over 20 hours of air, earth, water and firebending fun!

No bored kids here.  We are ready.  Sled, board games, books and our favorite Nickelodeon DVDs.  Winter break boredom SOLVED!

What are some ways you keep the kids busy during Winter vacation?

These look like some fun DVDs for kids! I should probably prepare more for the winter break, but my kids are older, so if they say they're bored I remind them that they're old enough to entertain themselves.

I'm a 90s kid so I grew up on Nickelodeon! They really did have some of the best cartoons around. These look like awesome DVDs for kids to watch during winter break.

I have so many Nickelodeon DVD's from my review days with them. The kids have a huge stock that I refuse to get rid of because they are cool to pull out and watch with them on a boring day!
We're pretty informal over the Christmas break. My nephew would enjoy watching Paw Patrol, he loves that show.

That's quite an interesting mix of movies. Movies are a great and easy way of keeping everyone entertained.
Great mix of DVDs to watch to keep them from being bored. Being inside and feeling bored can be hard to avoid sometimes, this seems like a great way to keep busy.

It's so funny that kids can be bored right after getting all those presents, but its true! Its happened to my family too and I'm sure I'll hear those words as well and I'll want to give them a good reality check!
We are day two into our break and I’ve already heard I’m bored 150 times. I can’t wait for Christmas for my kids to open gifts and have new things to occupy them for a bit. Including some Nickelodeon dvds! - jeanine

Maple and Brown Sugar Air Fryer Bacon

I've been raving about my Instant Pot but now I have a new favorite... the Air Fryer.   O M G This thing is amazing!  I don't know why I was so late to the Air Fryer craze but I am so glad I am finally onboard.   I've been talking about getting one and then after my aunt posted pics of her new air fryer, that was it off to Best Buy I went.   I wasn't sure how big of a unit I would need but I figured the 2.5 liter would suffice.  I chose the Chefman Express.  It was priced on the shelves for $85 but online for $75.99 and my local store matched the price AND I had my Swagbucks Best Buy QR code so I got 500 SBs + 2 SBs for every dollar spent so that's another 170 SBs.  So, after discounts, my air fryer ended up costing me less than the sale price.  Woohoo! There were some fancy ones on the shelves with digital display but after checking the reviews I figured since I don't fry much this model would suffice. When I think of fried foods, I think

A Pit Stop at Sho Nuff Hot Tamales in Greenville, Mississippi

My cousin and I were driving along and our tummies were rumbling as we crossed the Mississippi state line on US-82.  We didn't really have any particular dish in mind for lunch but we started seeing signs saying "Hot Tamales". "Hot Tamales", my Philly cousin asked. "Yep", I replied nonchalantly.  "I remember reading something about hot tamales being a big thing here in the Delta."   We kept driving and finally decided we would have to try these famous Mississippi Delta hot tamales. Now to decide which one.  There were literally dozens of tamale spots.  We happened upon a restaurant called Sho-Nuff and decided it was the one. We parked and entered the large, delightfully decorated restaurant.  The wall was plastered with local and national awards in recognition of those hot tamales.   There was a sign touting Sho-Nuff as the winner of the local newspaper's favorite restaurant award and 3rd place winner in the annual  Delta Hot Ta
