QUEEN OF KATWE - In Theatres Today

Today's the day!

Can't wait to take my kids to see Queen of Katwe, opening in theatres nationwide this weekend.

“Queen of Katwe” is the colorful true story of a young girl selling corn on the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess, and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion."

I had a chance to preview the movie a few months ago while vacationing in L.A. and have been eagerly anticipating this week. Here's a peek at the trailer.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing. The birds are singin'. The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up. So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound. It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year. Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach. 'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before. As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.
