God Made You Just Right Book Review

A few years ago, a friend asked me to design a graduation card for her daughter who was graduating from middle school. She asked me to include the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 which states "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." What an empowering message to share with anyone, particularly a child of any age.

God Made You Just Right is a delightfully, illustrated board book which uses this scriptural reference to convey the message of appreciation for individuality. Each of us is beautifully and wonderfully made. The book serves as a reminder that there is no one else like you. Author Jill Roman Lord does a great job using easy to read text coupled with a powerful message for children of all ages.

The Little Old Lady and the Littlest One enjoyed reading God Made You Just Right and we look forward to sharing with our church library.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
