God Made You Just Right Book Review

A few years ago, a friend asked me to design a graduation card for her daughter who was graduating from middle school. She asked me to include the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 which states "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." What an empowering message to share with anyone, particularly a child of any age.

God Made You Just Right is a delightfully, illustrated board book which uses this scriptural reference to convey the message of appreciation for individuality. Each of us is beautifully and wonderfully made. The book serves as a reminder that there is no one else like you. Author Jill Roman Lord does a great job using easy to read text coupled with a powerful message for children of all ages.

The Little Old Lady and the Littlest One enjoyed reading God Made You Just Right and we look forward to sharing with our church library.

• Board book: 20 pages

With easy-to-understand descriptions and simple, rhyming text, Jill Roman Lord shares the message that God created each of us in just the right way in a manner that even the youngest child will understand. Here’s your chance to start the new year off with a win. One lucky Three Boys and an Old Lady blog reader will receive a $15 Walmart eGift card. $10 may not seem like a lot but it’s enough to stock up on some last minute Christmas clearance gifts. Trust me. I bought a 6’ Christmas tree WITH lights, 2 animal massagers, 3 Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser, Christmas cards and wrapping paper less than $20 during an after Christmas Walmart shopping trip.

I was searching for some cough syrup when my friend’s kid spotted the Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser on sale for 50 cents. What a steal! The regular price is $10 so to find them on sale for 50 cents was a deal. We cleared the shelves.

A few rows down we spotted some animal neck massager…
