ICB, Princess Bible, Hardcover, Purple and an Introduction to the International Children's Bible Translation

Recently, a friend was looking for a Bible for her daughter and I told her about the International Children's Bible (ICB) translation. I wasn't exactly shocked she hadn't heard of the ICB as I often get a side eye whenever I mention a translation other than King James but I was glad she took the time to investigate if this would be an ideal translation for her family.

The ICB translation isn't some watered down version of the Bible.  It is an easy to read biblical translation for youth.  The ICB uses words and phrases to help young people better comprehend the word of God. The Thomas Nelson website states "International Children’s Bible®, the first Bible translation created specifically for children, has been updated and newly typeset in a large readable layout with a 3rd grade reading level, this is the Bible children can read and understand."

ICB, Princess Bible, Hardcover, Purple is a delightful International Children's Bible for your little princess.  The Bible is well organized and I love the concordance.   There was a section of children in the Bible.  What a great way to show how important kids are to the kingdom of God.  A wonderful translation that would make a wonderful gift.

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

12 Delicious Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas They're Sure to Gobble Up

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left. After the last guest has left and after I’ve put away the last load of dishes in the dishwasher, it’s time to break out the freezer bags and storage containers and fill up the fridge with all the leftovers.  Here are 12 of our favorite ways to gobble up Turkey Day leftovers and a chance to win a $25 Walmart eGiftcard.   1.       Thanksgiving Casserole         2.       Turkey Roll Ups         3.       Turkey Club Sandwiches         4.       Thanksgiving Pizza  ...
