Tropical Smoothie Cafe Unveils #25Days of Giving to Help Benefit Charities in (Y)Our Neighborhood #GivingTuesday

Temperatures may be dropping but, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is embracing the warm spirit of doing good for others. The leading fast-casual concept, known for its better-for-you food and smoothies with a tropical twist, is launching a 25 Days of Giving social campaign beginning December 1st in an effort to raise funds, awareness and recognition for a long standing partner of the brand, Camp Sunshine.
For the first 25 days of December, the campaign will not only feature Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life threatening illnesses as well as their families, but it will also applaud and recognize many other community-based non-profits.
Kicking off on #GivingTuesday, the globally recognized day of giving back, Tropical Smoothie Cafe will leverage social media to feature a different non-profit, celebrity or volunteer daily who help to make a difference in their local communities. The campaign will also include ideas for how to volunteer.

Tropical Smoothie has donated over $1,000,000 dollars to Camp Sunshine and they are sharing the wealth with other charities including one of our fave local charities, THEA Foundation

One million dollars will definitely help a lot of kids!  However, we often wonder what about our neighborhood.  We never see donations like that?  Tropical Smoothie is partnering with THEA Foundation and I know a lot of teachers and students who will be extremely grateful.

THEA Foundation is a labor of love founded by Paul and Linda Leopoulos shortly after the untimely passing of their daughter, Thea, in a tragic car accident.  Their generosity has helped several kids, students and teachers foster a love of the arts.  Whether it's spoken word or donations from the Thea's Art Closet or the annual Thea Paves the Way sidewalk chalk event on the front lawn of the Clinton Presidential Library, THEA Foundation gives and encourages others to do likewise.

For the entire month of December, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is collecting $.25 donations in-store to benefit Camp Sunshine, THEA Foundation and other charities.

25 days...

25 days that will change a lot of lives.

Help us spread the word by visiting any of the 450 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations, visit www.TropicalSmoothieCafe.com and follow #GivingTuesday or #25Days.

Let's do good... TOGETHER!

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
