The Rainbow Egg By Linda K. Hendricks, M.D.

Book Description

Hope is a chicken who happens upon an egg. Looking for a place to help raise it, a guardian red bird leads her to a chicken house full of chicken families. There she finds challenges and fear ultimately leading to the most precious gift she could ever hope for. The Rainbow Egg is a beautifully illustrated, delightful fresh look at adoption as a loving gift.

My Thoughts:
The Rainbow Egg is a  gently written tale of adoption.  Although I appreciate the author's delicate handling of such a controversial issue, the book is very wordy.  I was unsure of the target audience.  The illustrations were very natural except for the occasional bursts of rainbow colors throughout.  Overall a decent read.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
