The Berenstain Bears STILL Cranking Out Books After All These Years

The Berenstain Bears books have been around as long as I can remember.  I remember watching The Berenstain Bears on PBS when I was a kid.  I remember checking them out from our local library and purchasing a Berenstain Bears book or two from the school book fair when I was a kid.  The Berenstain Bears were popular because there was always a moral to the story and I guess that's one of the reasons the series has lasted so many years.  I did a little research and found out the series premiered in 1962.

Flash forward 53 years later and The Berenstain Bears are still at it.  Thats' pretty amazing isn't it?

God Made You Special is the latest in The Berenstain Bears book series.

Book Description
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Matthew 5:8

In this newest 8x8 softcover title in the Berenstain Bears Living Lights collection, the Bruins join the Bear family for a cookout and bring their cousin Tommy along. It isn’t long before the cubs start up a game of baseball and Sister soon notices that Tommy doesn’t play like the rest of the group. When Sister asks about Tommy, Mama takes the opportunity to talk to Sister about how God makes each of us unique in our own way. And that we all have special gifts and talents to share with the folks around us.

About the Author
Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too.

My Thoughts
The Berenstain Bears series has been around for four generations of my family and as long as the Berenstain family keeps churning out books, we will keep reading them.  The books are easy to read and perfect for reading to kids at bedtime.  The books make a perfect addition to your child's library and the church library alike.

Buy It:  God Made You Special and other books featuring The Berenstain Bears may be found in bookstores worldwide and at online resellers including Faith Gateway and Amazon.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
