A is for Abinadi Children's Book Review

Disclosure:  Many thanks to Cedar Fort Blog Tours for the opportunity to review this book.
I received an electronic copy of A is for Abinadi for review.

A is for apple but also for Abinadi! Teach your children about some of the greatest heroes in the scriptures with this beautifully illustrated alphabet book. They will love searching for items that represent each letter while they get to know heroes like Captain Moroni and Esther. Along with learning their ABCs, your children will learn to recognize and love these great Book of Mormon and Bible examples.

About the Author:  Heidi Poelman has always loved learning about inspiring people. In A is for Abinadi, she found a way to write about many of her favorites. Heidi received her degrees in communication from Brigham Young University (BA) and Wake Forest University (MA). When she’s not writing, cooking, cleaning, or carpooling, Heidi enjoys reading bedtime stories and going on outdoor adventures with her family. She lives in Utah with her husband and three children.

Our Thoughts:  What a cute way to introduce kids to the heroes of the Bible and Book of Mormon.  The bold, cartoon character-block illustrations brought to life some of our favorite heroes and introduced the kids to a few new ones.

A is for Abinadi, like any other A to Z alphabet book, is a pretty long read for one night but made for a great read throughout several nights. We even let the Littlest One pick three letters and read his letters of choice.   I think I must've read "D is for Daniel" at least a hundred times and each time the Littlest One giggled with joy.  There's nothing like a child's laugh.

Overall a good read.

Buy It:  A is for Abinadi is available wherever books are sold including online retailers including Amazon.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
