Bimbambu Book Review

Bimbambu is the moving story of a bird of many colors who shares his feathers with other animals in order for them to knit an article of clothing for themselves so that hey can be protected during the winter months. As time goes by, having barely any feathers left, Bimbambu begins to fear that he will freeze. Just as he finds himself thinking that things couldn't get worse, he encounters true friends and realizes the value of helping others.

This story is ideal for ages 3-8, but the lessons are valuable even for older children. The book is beautifully written and the art is both rich and original. The mixed media that combines photography, colorful and lively ceramic characters, and paper art as the background, along with other features, will captivate and lift the imagination of even the youngest readers. This timeless yet original tale is sure to become a literary gem and a favorite among your child's books.

Our Thoughts:  Besides being creatively illustrated, Bimbambu is a wonderful tale.  We loved reading and hearing the story of how one shared so much and just when he needed it most, all that he'd given away was returned to him.  The use of mixed media only brings to life this heartwarming story sure to be read again and again and again.

I was glad to share Bimbambu this during the children's story hour at our local library.  As soon as I finished reading, the children asked me to read it again and again I did.  What a wonderful story to share with others.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
