Couples of the Bible Booksneeze Book Review

Presented in a user-friendly style like the bestselling books Women of the Bible and Men of the Bible with over 700,000 thousand in print, this devotional gives readers an overview of couples all the way from Adam and Eve to Christ and his Bride, the Church.

Like its bestselling predecessors, Women of the Bible and Men of the Bible-with over 700,000 copies in print-Couples of the Bible promises to be a fascinating devotional guide for couples of every age. This book draws readers into the lives of biblical couples who offer great wisdom for right now.

Through this 52-week devotional experience, readers will discover that Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and Rachel, Samson and Delilah, Ruth and Boaz, Job and his wife and Joseph and Mary had hopes and struggles just like those that couples have today-and that God can use their marriage powerfully in His redemptive work.

Couples of the Bible can be used by individuals, by couples alone or in a small-group setting. Arranged in chronological order-providing a unique overview of the entire Bible-this year-long guide will deepen readers' understanding of biblical truths even as it strengthens an understanding of their part in God's love story.

My Thoughts:  I love devotionals and this is the first devotional I've read specifically created for couples.  Couples of the Bible presents couples who have overcome challenges facing couples then and now.  The book is divided into 52 thoughtful chapters and presents a wisdom-filled week's worth of meditation.  Hubby and I have thoroughly enjoyed the chapters we've read thus far and have even discussed them in Bible study groups with friends and family.

Couples of the Bible is a great gift for couples celebrating an anniversary and I gifted a copy to a lovely couple who recently celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary.  They loved it.

Buy It:   Couples of the Bible may be purchased at bookstores nationwide including online stores or wherever Zondervan books are found.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three Boys and an Old Lady blog reader will r
