Clarisse Prom Dress
I received the Clarisse prom dress in gold for review.  Touted as a "Prom Dress", I chose to review the dress because it was similar to the bridesmaid dresses at my mom's wedding.

There's so much to love about this dress from the empire sash and layered tulle to the sequined, heart shaped bodice.  All of those special touches make this dress ideal for any formal occasion.

This dress is so elegantly constructed and far exceeds the $99 price tag.  The bodice is full of gold-colored sequins and the heart-shaped neckline are striking.  I was worried the bodice wouldn't stay up but I keep fashion tape on hand and didn't even need to use it with this form fitting bodice.  The silken,  wide empire sash is flattering and gives the appearance of a longer waistline and a flatter tummy.  And the layered tulle appears full and flouncy but it's tulle so it's light and airy.  I found myself twirling around and around and fluffing the tulle just because.

The elongated bow confused me a bit.  I kept trying to fasten the bow horizontally, when it actually fastens vertically.  After I finally fastened the bow I noticed how it conceals the zipper. Just another attention to detail which makes this a Fashionista's Fab Find.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three Boys and an Old Lady blog reader will r
