Encore Performance of Is Genesis History? Coming to Theaters Nationwide March 2 and March 7

In the beginning God created the Heavens and Earth...

We are all familiar with this biblical passage and for many of us it serves as the foundation for our beliefs and those we pass down onto our children.  A lot has changed since we were kids but the Bible hasn't.  It is the same now as it was then.  A word for the generations.

My kids always seemed to have a bunch of questions about the Bible especially on Sundays after Sunday School.  Funny, I don't recall bombarding my mom with questions about the Bible.  I'm sure I did, I just don't recall.  However, my mom assures me I had as many questions then as my kids do now.

What about you do you remember asking your parents questions about the Sunday School lesson?  What questions did you have?

Recently, I came across a movie titled "Is Genesis History".  The movie provides insight on how things came to be.  It's a refreshing, interesting scholarly film which makes a lot of sense and answers some of those questions we all have about the beginning.

"IS GENESIS HISTORY? features over a dozen scientists and scholars explaining how the world intersects with Genesis. From rock layers to fossils to lions to stars, this fascinating film will change the way you see the world. Showing in theaters twice as special encore events on Thursday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 7, the film shines new light on our origins, providing a positive case for creation in six normal days, a real Adam and Eve, a global flood, and a tower of Babel. Dr. Del Tackett, creator of “The Truth Project,” serves as your guide—hiking through canyons, climbing up mountains, and diving below the sea—in an exploration of two competing views … one compelling truth."

Length: 118 minutes (Film: 101 min - QA/Credits: 17 min)
Recommended Age: 12+ (due to complexity of content; younger children can come, but it could be over their heads)

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left.
