Tips for Organizing Your Home Office

As we gear up for the holidays, now is a great time to stock up on office supplies.  Many office supply stores are offering major discounts on some much needed office supplies such as paper, desk accessories, printers, computers, etc.

1.  Pens, pens, pens.  Stack pens and pencils upright in an old coffee mug.  Be sure it's a mug you don't plan on drinking from as ink and lead may accumulate in the bottom of the mug.  I love this clear mug because I can see my fave pens at a glance.

2.  Stop making paper clip chains and make use of some of those fallen magnets from your fridge or pick up a few magnets at your local dollar store.  Check out this pack of smiley face magnets which retails for a whopping 97 cents.

3.  Keep commonly used files close.  I love these vertical file organizers because I can see those files I use commonly at a glance.  Place those files you use most often in the front.

4.  Use a desktop organizer with pockets like this Artistic Executive Desk Pad Organizer with Storage.  This organizer features a cover that lifts so you can fill it up with office essentials like pens, paper clips, staples, etc. The cover can be closed to keep your desktop neat and tidy.

5.  Accordion files are great for organizing multiple items.  For example, use an accordion file to organize client contacts and emails or even monthly invoices.  I keep a alphabetical accordion file and labels on hand to store correspondence from contacts.

Shoplet.com is a great place to shop for items to help you organize your home office.  Be sure to visit them at www.shoplet.com.

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...
