Gift Some Good This Holiday Season #Handmade4Life #Giveaway

Each year our church youth group partners with a local charity to help feed, clothe and raise monies for others.  It's a project that's near and dear to my heart.  It's an honor to serve our community and introduce the youth to service.

Teaching the kids to seek opportunities to serve others is important to me as it helps them understand how blessing others blesses us.  Blessing others is what Novica does.  Novica, a National Geographic company, gives global artisans a marketplace to sell their wares.  Whether it's jewelry, clothing, art or furniture, all of the gifts share the unique story of the artisan who crafted them.

Novica enables people to sell their goods and even helps with business counseling and offers 0% loans to artisans.  These microloans help craftsman buy supplies to create items which help them support their families.

Novica also introduces the world to designs and customs of various cultures throughout the world.

I've ordered from Novica quite a few times over the past few years and have been very pleased with my gifts

A couple of years ago I ordered a chess set. When we're not playing chess, the set sits on our coffee table and is quite the conversation piece.

I also purchased several pairs of earrings from Novica.  One I gifted to a friend after she returned from a trip to Mexico.  I thought the earrings would be the perfect reminder of her Mexican vacation.  She still makes a point to tell everyone "a dear friend got these for me" every single time she wears them as they're quite unique and a subject of conversation every time she wears them.

This year I've got my eyes on a pair of amethyst earrings. I've narrowed my choices down to these three.  I'm still undecided.

Handcrafted Amethyst and Pearl Dangle Earrings, 'Bright Bouquet'

Indian Artisan Amethyst Dangle Earrings in Sterling Silver, 'Modern Jaipur'

925 Silver Earrings with Amethyst Total 8 Carats from Bali, 'Sparkling Dew'

Each of these earrings were handcrafted and I know my purchase will to help support this artisan and that's gifting some good this holiday season.

Have you ever purchased from Novica?

To celebrate #Handmade4Life, Novica has partnered with Three Boys and an Old Lady blog and we're giving away a $35 gift code.

What a great opportunity for you to learn more about this wonderful company and the work they are doing to support craftsmanship.

Hello Spring!

I am so excited for Spring 2018.  Not that I have anything major planned or anything.  Well, I am on a cruise right now.  Oh yeah, I'm on my way to Cozumel for a few days of rest, relaxation and margaritas.

What a way to welcome Spring huh?  What about you?  What are your Spring travel plans?  Are you and the family hitting the road?  Catching a flight somewhere?  Where ya headed?

Nothing like a little extra spending money when on vacation and I am so excited for this Rain Rain Go Away! Giveaway Hop.  This is my 3rd year participating in this fun hop sponsored by The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It and each year it gets bigger and bigger.

There are some really great prizes up for grabs and add some new blogs to your reading list plus your chance to win a $40 Visa eGift Card.  Why $40 you ask.  Well that's because I-40 is the interstate we typically travel to most of our Spring Break destinations.

Jeepers! It's January Hop

Happy New Year!

What better way to kick off the new year than with a giveaway! I am so excited to join The Mommy Island, The Kids Did It and 90+ other fab blogs in the first big giveaway hop of 2018!

Here’s your chance to start the new year off with a win. One lucky Three Boys and an Old Lady blog reader will receive a $15 Walmart eGift card. $10 may not seem like a lot but it’s enough to stock up on some last minute Christmas clearance gifts. Trust me. I bought a 6’ Christmas tree WITH lights, 2 animal massagers, 3 Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser, Christmas cards and wrapping paper less than $20 during an after Christmas Walmart shopping trip.

I was searching for some cough syrup when my friend’s kid spotted the Jelly Belly BeanBoozled Jelly Beans Mystery Bean Dispenser on sale for 50 cents. What a steal! The regular price is $10 so to find them on sale for 50 cents was a deal. We cleared the shelves.

A few rows down we spotted some animal neck massager…
