Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake Review

This is a sponsored post

I am a master when it comes to sneaking in healthy foods into my families' diet. Whether it's blending carrots into my spaghetti sauce or adding kale into our smoothies, I try to sneak in healthy options wherever I can.

Recently I was invited to try Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake.  Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake comes in both chocolate and vanilla.  I chose to review the vanilla variety and wanted to share ways I incorporated it into the Three Boys and an Old Lady diet.

Activz‘s revolutionary new line of produce powders helps individuals quickly increase the nutritional value of any meal. This easy-to-use, preservative-free whole-food powder line—available in a variety of organic fruit, vegetable and grass options—retains all the nutrition of fresh produce while also being shelf-stable, preventing food waste. The powders are especially valuable for sneaking extra fruits and veggies into your kids’ favorite dishes; we call it the “Stealth Health Revolution”!

"Stealth Health Revolution"?  I love the concept.  I added Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake to coffee, milk and water and was pleased with the taste and texture, but it was the 18 grams of protein per serving that really sold me on this product.  I've been using Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake for the last 3 weeks as an afternoon snack and I actually like it.

I found it rather bland when I prepared according to the instructions.  It kinda reminded me of a diet shake in taste and texture.  So I decided to prepare it like I prepare out smoothies.  I simply blend 2 scoops of Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake powder, a few berries, 1 cup of ice and 1 cup of water.  ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS + nutritious!  This combination makes for a very delicious frozen treat everyone seemed to enjoy.

I also tried Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake powder as a hot beverage.  1 scoop of Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake mixed into a mug of hot water and you've got a nice alternative to sugary hot chocolate.
I added a scoop of whipped cream and Los Tres Amigos never noticed the difference.  The texture is a little thicker than our regular, homemade hot cocoa and I only add 1 scoop, not the 2 scoops per 8 oz. serving as recommended, as it made it more like cocoa as opposed to a shake.  Just experiment by adding less or more to find the right combination to suit your taste.  Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake is priced at $24.99 and that's about 15 servings IF you use 2 scoops per 8 oz. as per the instructions.  However, 2 scoops may be a bit too much for some, like me, so you may be able to squeeze a few extra servings by using 1 scoop instead of two.
Activz Organic Rice Protein Shake is just one of many healthy products offered by Activz.  Activz even offers a FREE downloadable handbook featuring 50 Fast Ways to “Stealth Health” Your Meals.  You'd be amazed at how simple it is to make your meals healthier. Who'd ever think of mixing in Kale or Spinach powder into guacamole?  Way to get 'em to eat their veggies!

Life is a Beach Giveaway Hop

Spring is in full swing.  The birds are singin'.  The pollen is falling and temps are FINALLY warming up.  So what better time time to start planning our Summer getaways. This year - as always - we are beach bound.  It's one of our fave places to visit given we only get to the beach once or twice a year.   Last year's visit to Cozumel was one for the record books. We stopped by this little restaurant and dined on grilled shrimp in a cabana right on the beach.   'Ohana also has a line of tequilas in flavors I had never seen before.  Tropical flavors such as coconut, mango and pina colada.  Hubby and I tried the 'Ohana peanut butter tequila.  The owner said folks either love it or hate it... we LOVED it!!! As I was sipping all I could think of was how good this peanut butter tequila would taste as a baste on my tequila wings.  It would be like a tequila satay wings type dish. * * * G I V E A W A Y * * * One lucky Three ...

12 Delicious Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas They're Sure to Gobble Up

I never understood why we prepare this humongous Thanksgiving dinner and complain about having so many leftovers. We manage to get rid of a lot of leftovers by making sure everyone has a to go plate and delivering dinners to elderly and homebound family, church members and friends.  Yet, there is always a lot of stuff left. After the last guest has left and after I’ve put away the last load of dishes in the dishwasher, it’s time to break out the freezer bags and storage containers and fill up the fridge with all the leftovers.  Here are 12 of our favorite ways to gobble up Turkey Day leftovers and a chance to win a $25 Walmart eGiftcard.   1.       Thanksgiving Casserole         2.       Turkey Roll Ups         3.       Turkey Club Sandwiches         4.       Thanksgiving Pizza  ...
